In recent years we have seen a growing demand from society for the social added value of people with an intellectual disability. New integration practices and new forms of employment are emerging in various countries. These different realities offer a wide range of solutions and practices to meet the needs and expectations of people with disabilities. Through the Valor Employment project, the partnership looked at these practices, researched them and identified key elements for success and barriers to their implementation and transfer. The aim was to identify elements and practices that facilitate the professional and social integration of people with intellectual disabilities.

This project was a great opportunity for a highly committed partnership composed of organizations active in the field of social services, and its implementation will lead to:

• Improving the skills of professionals working with people with intellectual disabilities, especially in the areas of professional insertion and work integration;
• The development of new skills of people with intellectual disabilities;
• Have an overview of new forms of employment for people with an intellectual disability;
• Identify and analyze good practices and success factors to improve the role of service providers in supporting the employability of people with intellectual disabilities
